The Vulnerable Brain Lab (VBL) is a neuroscience research lab led by Dr. Shawn Whitehead. Found at Western University in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, the VBL investigates the role of inflammation in health and disease, particularly with regards to how the brain and body are linked together in stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, and cognitive decline.
